Yay!! A scorpio baby!!! For the record.. .it's a girl. (I'm thinking)

Does Noe' just hang out in there? Thats hilarious!!!

Well, if everyone's headed to Montreal for Christmas for vacation, (and as you all know my work doesn't grant me such things). I'd love to make a trip. So a couple of options, I could come during the week of Nicole's baby's birth... because as you all know it's MY Birthday too. MY 30th so little bugger #2 better NOT steal my thunder. OR I can come after Christmas. Sometime in Jan. Tell me what you think Nicole... I know Danio and Krista are easy, but when will Ma and Pa be there?

Get outta there!!!

little pic of Noé to brighten your day!

I heard the heart beat

I went to my first doctors apointment yesterday and heard the little heart beat. It was very quiet but it was there! Doctor says everything is looking good and that I am probably farther along than the scientific calculations say so. Maybe 11-12 weeks or so. That means I am due anytime between November 10-21. JL says mom needs to be here as of mid-September, just in case... so get looking at tickets! Everybody else needs to start thinking about Christmas in Montreal, perhaps? What's nicer than some peaceful evenings by the open fire, chestnuts roasting, Christmas carols playing softly in the background, caulic-y baby screaming and a terrible two needing attenting and throwing temper tantrums. Everyone's welcome! Mouse

Brunch with Benny Boy!

Hi Family, Krista signing in here.
Just got back from a nice neighborhood brunch with Benny Boy. He was looking spiffy with his big red mustache. Looks like he's a redhead from the nose down. We went to the Easy Rider restaurant, a cool little Roncesvalles dig with an 70's biker movie vibe. Good eats too! Nice to catch up with him before he heads out to Columbia.

Now I'm off to work myself, just me at work all week, the boss is in Jamaica!

Pean

Morning coffee and tums

Blargh! Good thing I am working from home today. It's starting to quiet down at the office. We are in the last phase of sending up our files. Once they are gone, the workload is drastically reduced. This program is WAY laid back compared to the other programs I worked for. Also, two more team members will be returning to work this summer, so I'm going to have to look for some additional projects (more french classes, museum visits, etc.) I don't have too much longer till I'm off for the summer! yay!
This afternoon I have my first doctors appointment. Normally I should be able to hear the heartbeat. Then, I will feel really relieved. I still feel nauseous and tired all the time. Yesterday, we had a presentation from Headquarters - brutal! I completely fell asleep. My boss leaned over and poked me in the arm and asked me if I was pregnant! So I guess it's starting to show (perhaps not so much with the belly, but...). She wanted to know how I was feeling so I said really sick, and that this presentation was making it worse! She said I could leave and go lay down somewhere! Sweet!

Went to the fortune teller...

Hahahahaaa!!!!! Oh my God that was the funniest thing I have ever seen Nicole!!!! Nick will love those pictures!!!! So how was the Slap Chop Pa? Get those onions so chopped up they dissapeared?

So guess what, I went ot go see a psychic yesterday evening with my friends Janene and Sairah. It was really eerie, she had us stare into a mirror and she read our reflections. So, already she was right about something!!!!! She said to me that someone in my family or someone close to me is pregnant and I will find out soon. So my first thought was , ya ya.. Nicole.. but I knew that already. Then I started getting all worked up thinking it might Krista or heaven forbid.. Danielle... but just read Angela is preggors!!!! Holy shit right?!?! OH MY GOD there were so many crazy predictions. Sairah wrote everything she said to me down so when they happen I can be like.. see Mom.... it's REAL!!!! She also told me I'm going back to the Yukon for about 5 years, so that solves that problem!! It was the craziest thing that ever happened to me. She reads your past life, present life and future life as well as who your spiritual guadrians are and your aura color. Mine was emerald green. I was a shepard in my past life and I have 6 goddesses watching over me.. cool huh.. K.. I know what you're all thinking... and yes I was a little skeptical too.. but listen to this, for the last few weeks I've been looking at shorter hairstyles to give myself a drastic makeover for my 30th birthday, and the last thing she said to me was, "You're thinking of doing something really extreme to your hair aren't you.." I was like, "yyyyyyeeeeeees." she replied, "Don't do it." Whatever you do, DO NOT cut your hair, trust me, you will regret it."

Weird eh????

Oh, also our ancestors (not sure what side.. who ever is Romanian???) comes from royalty. She said I'm a blue blood!!! That's why I tend to have certain influence on people. Knew it.

Dad - you are so right.

Hilarious! I have tears in my eyes!
JL is sitting here beside me, he's not laughing though!

Finish that check!

It's interesting seeing the two Kuan-Teau boys... the two different sport philosophies... While the soccer player rolling around from a little tap on the shins, crying like he's going to die, hoping for sympathy from the ref. The hockey player that took him out with his 'CCM Vapor' stick looks down at him laughing and saying, "Get up ya big baby, there's no crying in hockey".
Thanks Michelle for the Slap-Chop & CD. I'll use 'em both tonight, I'm making supper! Spaghetti!
Love to all
Ol' Dad

blahrgh!

ok- I have to go puke now.

Noé's favourite thing

Noé just loves playing hockey. Can't get enough. As soon as we get in the door, it's "aw-key? aw-key? aw-key? aw-key?" until someone gets the sticks out of the hiding place. Yes, we have resorted to hiding them.

Mom on a Friday!!

Okay, so it's crazy here and no Michelle, it's not happy hour time. Peanut, I think Ben is in Toronto and I will give you his cell phone # if Errinlee helps me retrieve it behind this blog window. 250-508-8071 Give him a ring and touch base with him before he leaves for Columbia for the next while. He's working for the same outfit he has been for the last few summers up here. Some family news for you. Your cousin Angela is expecting. Did you hear already Krista or is this still an unknown. I'm at the YTA AGM all day tomorrow, my last one! I really wanted to work on the house, but that will have to wait until Sunday. I love reading all your entries. What is it with the Prevost kids? They always think they won't get the job and then they do. Good for you Krista. How's the apartment situation Danielle. Hope you can work things out. I love reading stories about "Noe the bad kid"!! He might not be sooooo cute when he gets a bit older but I really doubt that. Must sign off and do playground patrol to make sure there are no more fights after school. We had a brawl last night when Marj and I were at an inservice. I was supposed to be there again today, but had to stay back and fix things from yesterday. One good thing last night, alot of the administators went to the 98 after our meeting. I even got in a couple of dances. Love you lots, mom

New Job?

I had interviewed for a position one day a week at an old folks home for old Italians. Mamma Mia! I figured after 3 weeks of not hearing back that I didnt get the position. Well, I called back and it's %90 sure that I got it! So the bad news is that my leisurely thursdays spent sleeping in, knitting, watching Ellen, ect will be a thing of the past, but this could really up the ol' bankroll. And hopefully gets me one step closer to a real house! Or an extended vacation.... ;)

I'm pretty nervous, since I'll have to order a huge amount of equipment and get organized before going in. I may be seeing up to 40 patients a day!

So time to learn some Italian. "You want-a I cut-a you toenails?"

Wish me luck!
Pean

The parenting books say you shouldn't laugh at bad behaviour

They obviously don't have kids.
So we were all sitting down to a nice dinner. Noé is eating Cantonese fried rice (delicious) with rice, egg, ham, peas and carrots. He scoops up a big spoonful of rice and looks to see if there are any vegetables. He picks out the peas and WHIPS them across the table and down the hall. He is so bad but it is so hilarious to see just how hard he is flinging these veggies. Before we could grab his bowl away, there were peas all over the kitchen, down the hall and even some in the living room! He's so bad - takes after his father I suspect.

Quiet morning

I was texting with Danielle this morning - she's in a real bind with this apartment deal. I haven't had a chance to talk to her much lately, our schedules are VERY different. Weeknight evenings, Danielle gets home around 7:30. I am getting Noé to bed then and usually I am asleep as well by 8! At 4-5 am, when I get up, Danielle is still sleeping... I am often around the house Saturday and Sunday mornings, from 5am to noon. Then we all go down for a nap - at about the time Danielle is getting up! She gets ready and heads downtown to check out bands and whatnot.
That's the schedule in this house! Mouse

May long weekend

So it looks like we have the monday, 24th off. You guys may be celebrating the Queen, but here in this distinct nation, we are celebrating the Patriots! So much cooler! Perhaps Danielle will want to come? I haven't seen her much lately. Perhaps we can catch up through this blog! I just got back from the dentist to get my tooth cemented back in. It's the second time its fallen out in a few weeks. So annoying. Mouse

May long weekend...

Hmmm... does the May long weekend invite include small children and sisters that can't drink? Might be fun, if I can convince JL. He's really feeling the pressure of the new job and trying to balance cooking, cleaning, shopping, daycare runs and Noé's bath time. Guess I will have to start pitching in! I am working from home today which is great! I have lots and lots to do (cause Shannon left on mat leave and left ALOT of unfinished work) but I am going to try to fit in some laundry and a good sham wow of the house.
So, when is May long weekend anyways? Do you think you have enough room for Noé - play pen, and all that crap?

You're not the only one with "Backing up a trailor" skills Mom.

Haaaay!

Mertch Here. Had a great weekend as well, more play than work. As you can see, here I am at the boat launch at Mill Lake in Hubbards droppin Nick's new boat in. (Impressed Momsy?) It's a great little boat, we fished (with no luck) and explored the lake. We enjoyed tuna sandwiches, chocolate chip cookies and hot tea for a picnic. (Courtesy of Barb) We scooted to shore as quick as the 4 horsepower kicker would go when the rain (mixed with snow!!!) started falling. She was a cold one! Nick and I gutted out the Fraughton Cottage in preperation for June on Sunday. REALLY looking forrward to getting out of this fire-trap. Sick of the cold. Off to bellydance!!

You're not the only one with construction skills Dad!

Hey family, Krista signing in here. Got back last night from a tiring but satisfying weekend up at the cottage. We did some log hauling, wood chopping, window replacing, attic clearing and drywalling! The place is really starting to come together and we're looking forward to relaxing and enjoying the place once the weather gets nice and hot.
Speaking of which, open invitation to the May long weekend sisters... just sayin's all.
It's gonna be a long couple of weeks before we can get back up there.

Luv ya,
Pean

Noé's first theatre experience

On Sunday, we went to a theatre production for little kids. Lots of music, colors, costumes, and well, noise. Noé was pretty overwhelmed. He stood, awestruck, through the whole performance. At the end, the kids were allowed to go up on "stage" and play the "instruments". Noé walked around and just watched and watched all the kids. Never smiled, never frowned, just watched. Here is a picture of one of the performers trying to get a smile out of him. Didn't work though.

JL's new job

So, JL got home from his first official day at the new job today pretty excited. The new team had meetings all day, discussed upcoming projects and such. There were two new employees today, including JL. Both received a pile of new supplies (just like the first day of school!); pens, pencils, note pads and even a laptop each! They discussed how they will be setting up the production building - JL will be helping out with that. This building is currently four walls and a roof. They need to install everything - cables, outlets, bunch of other words I didn't understand. He showed me the plan with all the robots that will be installed to fill the molds once complet, like a circuit. JL's main job (once the building it up and running) will be to design and build the molds and make the prototypes. They already have some orders in (the skidoo seat for one!) so they need to move fast! They sure seem professional and have a solid plan in place. From the sounds of it, a pretty sweet start-up budget too!

nice picture Dad!

Is Andrew helping with the wiring and the photo uploading?
When you can, send the occasional picture of the cabin. It's great to see the progress!

Bloggin tips

I like to see all the blog posts to catch up on stuff I missed. By clicking on "April" you can see them all. Some have comments that you can't see but have to click on the comment to read.
There is a button for "New Post" on the tool bar along the top of the page to write a new post.
To add a picture, I opened up a new post, then clicked on the button that says "add image". I will take more pictures of Noé this weekend to post.

News from Nicole

I'm still feeling sooooo sick all the time. JL is tired of listening to me whine and complain. He says I should call mom more often. So today is JL's last day "off". He had a busy week of running erands, cleaning the house and doing odd jobs here and there. He added more bars on the patio banisters and stairs, so it's a little more child proof. Looks good! Also fixed the patio door and screen. Danielle won't be locked out in the rain anymore. I've had a very busy week at work. We are just in the final stages of sending up files, so lots of nit-picky things. Also, this is Shannon's last day of work - handing over all her stuff to me mostly.
We have a big weekend ahead of us. Sturday morning is swimming. Saturday night, JL and I are going out for dinner in Montreal somewhere. Since I am no longer boob feeding at night, Danielle is going to put Noé to sleep (at some point during the evening perhaps, or not). Sunday morning we are going to a play for babies then BBQ lunch with Julie and Mark. Manday, JL starts his new job!! I am on daycare pick up duty for the first week, then we will adjust the schedules. JL gets the feeling that he may be doing long hours at first. I guess will will see. Nicole

Second attempt by mom in two days!

I had a wonderful message all typed up yesterday but it disappeared into cyberspace when I tried entering it. Must have pressed the wrong button. Today is a warm beautiful day in the Yukon. We are interviewing for a replacement for Betty in Gr.3 until the end of the year. Her doctor has told her she must take the time off because of health issues. This is the 5th replacement we needed for this school year. The subs are loving our school this year. I'm slowly decluttering the house on the weekends. It's a big job. I do one room at a time. Danielle, I sent 2 more boxes your way, regular mail. Nicole, how are you feeling? Haven't heard from you in awhile. Great picture, Michelle. Don't hold your breath for my photos any time soon. Glad to hear you are out and about on your bike again, Krista. Careful to those Toronto drivers. Must get ready for the interview so will sign off. Love you lots. Talk to you soon Momma

Mom still at work

HEY! Dano here.. I think I found mom`s blogg! hahaha!!! is this the one you were talking about mom?

Hi to all my family bloggers. Don't worry about the pictures, Danielle. I don't suppose you will be viewing any of my photos in the near future! It's a beautiful sunny day here in the Yukon that I'm not out experiencing. Need to do a couple of hours of work yet in the classroom, then meet about the progress of one of my students in Reading Recovery and decide what we are going to do about the little guy. I showed Odette our blog and she was very impressed and wants to set one up with her family. Must get to work so I can get home at some point tonight. I think dad is working overtime tonight with the electrician if he shows up. Love you lots, mom

Heyo!

Dano here. Just thought I`d try to post a few pictures but it isn`t working. I don`t like blogging.
PS... Hi Momma!!! Good to hear from ya!! Good job figuring this out!!! Luv ya!

Make sure to give big hugs to Odio and Jaime!!

Ahhh Tuesdays...

Here we are camping at the Fraughton's camp in Granvilles over Easter weekend. That's Nick's sister Stacey and brother in law Leen. GREAT weekend!!! It's tick season so we had to do a complete full body check over, (something we are not used to up to in the Yuke.) Nick had two little buggers clinging onto him... thank the lord I had none... I would've had a complete meltdown.

I'm off to Yoga, then Bellydance tonight. Busy busy! I'm now in an advanced Bellydance class, we're learning the Zills. (Those little symbols they clang together in their hands) I'll have a few new dances for ya when I see you next!!!

Another day another dollar!

Just saying good morning to all my darlings. I feel sooooo smart to have figured out how to even open this blog. Everyone seems to be doing well. How about you, Nicole? Still having the heaves?? Thanks for the long chat last night Punkin. So good to hear you are enjoying life and work! It does sound interesting. Nice to see you too peanut. Any bike trips planned?? Thanks, Michelle for setting this up. Good idea and all. Since I use this at work, just a caution to everyone with the use of language, etc. Everyone have an awesome day, Love you lots, Work hard at the lake Dad, Love ya! Soon to be retired, Mom

Punkin`signing in here.

Well Well Well... aren`t we a savvy bunch! The Craigen`s would be proud of us. I`m just starting my second week of work and I gotta say, it`s pretty darn good!! I actually really like it! Surprise surpise! I`m doing employment and education verifications for the big wigs out there in the world. BackCheck is basically a third party company that digs up the dirt on potential employees for big corporations. I get paid well, I get benefits, I get raises, French lessons (on work time), I get promotion and travel opportunities, I get a fingerprint scanner, palm reader, two computer monitors, a Madonna phone headset, casual days (casual summer) ... And everytime the Canadiens play a game we get to wear their t-shirts to work and stuff! I got a sweet Montréal Canadians shirt to wear this Thursday. I dunno... Lots of cool coworkers. All speak English and are between 25 and 33 or so... All have a University education of some sort. Which is good because I, being the intellectual, need to be surrounded by people as smart as me, or I just get bored. But seriously, I think I might stick it out here for a while. Learning lots and I forsee some good opportunity at the office!

I tried to post a few pictures, but then things went all glichy on me. freakin` blog. What a gliotch! Anyways, I`ll work on getting a couple up here soon.

This is Luitenant Dan - Over and Out

mom!

So this is just a trial run to see if this magic actually works. I have to go cause the bell is going to ring and Jaime needs to talk to me!

Cute little baby!

Hey Family!
Well here's my first post. You've caught me on a lovely Toronto week, it's been sunny and bright and the leaves are a budding. My bike is tuned up and I've come out of hibernation. The Easter bunny was especially kind to the Roulston family, and left a sweet little girl along with the easter eggs! Ainsley is J's twin brother Shannon's second child and first daughter. Here I am with her at 2 days old. Never held such a tiny little thing! So cute!

Luv ya,
Krista

I'm moving too!

Nice segue Pa...

I am on a lunch break enjoying a delicious salad and filling through the hundreds of responces to the ad I posted on Kijiji for our apartment. I'll have a lot of people looking at the place this evening.. tell Ma it's a real pain in the arse. But it must be done. Frankly I'm getting sick of this whole moving fiasco. Nick and I have decided ot reside in the quaint Fraughton cottage for the summer, we are waiting until the perfect house comes up for us. Nick is still really set on building our house.
Dad, would you have any advise on that? Buggsie

Love Ya

You kids are, without any doubt, simply marvelous! I mean, how wonderfully thoughtful, getting this little gimmick going to keep us in touch! (thank you for the pic of our favorite grandson)
Speaking of grandchildren... Did y'all know that Donna has a new granddaughter? Speaking of Fairview... Mike & Gail joined us for a big (Fairview Alberta Chicken) supper in the shop this evening. Yummy! (not only can I dance, I can also segue)
Um, what can I tell you? I'm only just working on wiring the new place, but Mom has begun earnestly de-cluttering the old Riverdale house so she can show it for sale. She is doing this, just as she is getting into the (should be the most fun, but unfortunately I think it's the most heavy work-laden) last two and a half months of her teaching career!
So, just so you kids know... it's you (and your friends) that keeps our faces grinnin'
Love Ya!
Ole Dad

We'll get it.. I believe in us!!!

Good call on the "New Post" button. It will just have to take some playing around in here to figure it all out. Also we should type in out names because it always writes "Prevost family" after each post. Noe' is so flippin cute. Think he'll ever me able grow a nice thick moustache like mine? Michelle
Huh?? I`m confused about how this works... and if me, the "intellectual" of the family is confused, then Mom and Dad will surely be confused too...
Trying to figure this out. The best way is to do a New Post, cause it's harder to see the comments right away. But it's hard to find the New Post button. Nicole

Spring cleaning.

So here is the first post. I think this will really work!! Kind of like a socially acceptable facebook for Mom and Dad.

Sunny and beautiful here in Halifax, off work early so I'm tidying up the apartment to show it to some potential renters. Nick and I have decided to reside in the lovely Fraughton cottage for the summer starting in June, this will allow us some freedom with any future decisions we may have... and know me.. there will be many.
