Home again, home again, jiggity jog
Well, after a very long flight, we are back home in Longueuil. I am missing the morning view of Marsh Lake from the rocking chair in the great room. It became part of my routine with the early morning feedings to sit and rock the baby there. Thanks for the nice message Dad. We sure had a great time with you guys. Thanks for taking care of my kids. As parents, you know that much of our own pleasure comes from watching your kids have so much fun. Mathis grew so much ( well perhaps not physically ) from crawling around and exploring and well Noé, he just had such a great time with the loaders, the sand, gravel, water, the walks with the dogs and all the attention. Thank you gramma and pepère!!! Love you and miss you already.

Beachers
Hi Kids
Mom & I are feeling kinda sad, all of a sudden our house is so empty & quiet. So, to cheer ourselves up we went out and scooped some sand from the beach for a special celebration that's coming soon.
A beautiful day at the beach today, hot with a nice breeze. We took Copper for long walk on it when we got back from dropping off the Kuan-Teaus at the airport. Mom & I talked about all the things we wanted to do while the kids were here but didn't, 'cause there wasn't time. It seems all we did was "prepare-for & clean-after"...
(Oh - oh, the water-bombers just flew over, reckon that's what happens when it's hot & breezy in The Yukon.)
We miss Noé & Mathis...
Mouse & JL too, they did so much for us the short time we had them. Thank You So Much you two, you are a wonderful family.
Looking forward to gathering 'toute-la-gang' again in just over a month.
Ole Dad
P.S. Perhaps the construction company Réno-Noé should invest in a 'new backhoe' for this up-coming heavy construction season. (they'll especially need one with 'eyes' for the headlights)

Lake is coming in
Hi Kids
It's been windy the last few days so we have that mini sand berm all along Army Beach, with the big (sun warmed) puddle behind it. The lake is rising fast, so the beach itself (between that puddle and our breakwater wall of rocks) is only about 40 metres of nice sand now. Remember, it was about 200 m out there when the ice melted and of course will be reduced to nothing by July. So ya, the lake is rising fast, but nothing like it did the last time Jude & I went to a summer wedding in the far east... "no flood this year" in case you're wondering.
The picture here is a couple of french tourists enjoying a view of the evening sun setting on a smoky White Mountain in the distance, just above the point of "The Island". They wanted to perhaps wait till dark before the ventured nude across the deck to the hot-tub... We told them "That will be sometime in August"...
Noé and Mathis are a delight!

Bucket truck at the cottage!
Had some major storms up north, from Tweed where Mike and Gails' place is to Toronto. Lots and lots of trees down near the cottage and one took down the power line. No power for almost a week! They say more hydro guys were deployed than during the legendary ice storm. So we watched the guys in the bucket truck hook up the power then took the chainsaw out to clear the roads to the neighbours place. Exciting days up north!
Having much to much fun out at the cottage, so the house has been neglected. Are putting off the renos until the fall!
Counting down the days until we hook up in montreal, then of course Halifax. Gonna be the best summer ever!
Luv ya,
Pean

"They got so much things to say right now! So much things to say!" - Bob Marley
I'm just chillin' with nice glass o' Mendoza's finest, a brick of brie cheese and some olives. Yum! Having a relaxing Saturday night in. Headin' to the 'burbs tomorrow to have a BBQ and hang with the little buggers before Nicole whisks them away to the North. I believe Moose Burgers are on the menu.
I had my department staff party last night. It was at the Sports Forum. We bowled. I, being in a league and all, was expected be some sort of professional. And well, I was. On their standards... I'm gonna be the talk of the office on Monday. - in a good way. Ohh BackCheck. It's like, BackChecking my ass back into high school all over again.
Mertch, hilarious story! But sorry to say it, I'm pretty sure doods were serious about you being in the movie. I'm SO pumped about Mertch comin' to Montreal for her Bachelorette! All the girls, in Montreal!?!? Amazing! And uh, the male strippers are kinda a big deal in Montreal... jus' sayin'. Anyways, I got some chicken thighs and fiddle heads to cook up! Haha! Great segue-way.
Wish I was able to get back up to the Yukon this summer. So good to see Copper and Betty all curled up like that. I always like to hear that he's still running! Marsh Lake sounds really good right about now! Get that BBQ rollin'! Say 'hullo' to Mike and Gail, ma 'n pa! Maybe his summer I'll get to see their cottage? I think I'm the only one who hasn't yet! We've busted out my favourite cottage game, right here, in the parks of Montreal. Washer-toss. I want to start a summer league. Other than that, I've just been waitin' for summer to come! I'm exited to get into the sun! Start walking about the city more and stuff.
So ya, Love yas all and CAN'T WAIT till we're all hangin' out East!

Marsh Lake sounds lovely right now, I think I'll go!
Can't wait to be there actually and perhaps not to have to think about this whole daycare mess. I met one woman today that has an at home daycare. Like I told JL, she's the complete opposite of Sylvie. The place was extremely clean and very quiet. I kept looking around thinking, oh God, Noé would put fingerprints all over that, oh he would be able to break that... But, mind you she only had one baby there today. She has 3 other kids starting in June, then with Noé and Mathis, that would be 6. There is another little boy the same age as Noé, a couple 2 year olds and the little baby girl is the same age as Mathis. Her priority is to take them out daily for walks and to the park across the street. It's tempting. I would have to pay for Noé all summer and start paying for Mathis in the fall. It might be worth it for the peace of mind and knowing they would be together.
