Food on my mind. All the time.

Hi family!!
Just wanted to keep the blog alive here..
I've been doing really great!! Hardly tired or having any nausea (knock on wood..) I eat like a horse. I especially enjoy kraft dinner, peanut butter and banana sandwiches, pickles and DQ blizzards. I would do anything for a chocolate malt from riverside grocery right about now. Annnnd I have a belly!! It's just fat flabby belly, but a belly nonetheless.
I am so excited to see everyone in December!!! I'm going to eat all the chocolate croissants I can handle.
Thought I'd post a few pics of Ma and Pa's visit and our camping trip. My favorite photo is the one of gypsy cooling off in the mud like a pig. I also included some photos that made me laugh....

We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo!

To celebrate the beginning of JL's holidays, our anniversary and my birthday, we decided to take a weekend package deal in Granby. The weather was beautiful so we spent the first day at the zoo. We walked around the site from 10-4! Mathis slept in the stroller while Noé trailed behind begging to take a nap in the stroller too. But they hung in there! We had a great day and when we got to the hotel, we went directly into the outdoor pool. It was perfect! The other guest got a kick out of hearing Mathis's squeals of joy and Noé's belly laughs. We ordered room service and the kids watched a movie while mama and papa enjoyed desert and coffee on the porch. Sunday morning, I got to go for my birthday massage while the kids played in the hotel playground. We stopped at a very quaint restaurant on the way home and had an amazing lunch of crepes and homemade apple sauce and syrup. Great weekend!

Krista's crazy bachelorette weekend

Here is a picture of the three Prevost ladies atop the houseboat we rented along with a 1/2 dozen of Krista's friends. Krista looks well rested and happy after months of stressful wedding planning. Nicole, well she would have been looking at the camera except that she was busy observing the rocky shoreline as the anchor had come unhooked and the propellor was scraping across the bottom of the river and the police patrol were preparing to board in search of illegal substances and the motor had quit cause the fuel line was pulled out by some drunken passenger and the giant cruise liner was fast approaching and Annette, who doesn't know how to swim is drifting away on a flimsy inflatable mattress and the buoys indicate that we were positioned on the wrong side of the channel. Otherwise, this was a perfect picture posing moment! Danielle, well she just looks tipsy!
Overall, beautiful scenery, amazing weather, good company, great food and some fun times were shared by all!

Will it flood... again?

We've had so much rain this summer... (Summer? What summer?) Not hard rain but rain every day... The lake is rising fast!  Because of all this rain, lake levels are higher than normal for July 3rd.
Our neighbours are blaming us for the high water!  Considering that we are leaving here for the month of August for another daughter-wedding, like we did in 2007 the year of the last big flood.  We're hoping that cool temperatures will cause the lake levels to not rise as high as they did that hot summer.
Normal highs are around 20º for July... today it got up to 12º I think.  Because we are leaving, perhaps it's a blessing the temperatures are way down this summer.

Marsh Lake Ice Melts!

Mark your calendars... the ice of Marsh Lake finally disappeared today (May 28th)
Y'all recall how I always said, "The Lake 'freezes over' (usually) on the long weekend in November... and the ice disappears (usually) the long weekend in May".
It's uncanny how this rule of thumb holds...  For example, folks have been saying this year  "Geeze, it's so damn cold this May, the ice will still be around till first week in June"!
Hmmm.
